Welcome to RISK21

The RISK21 framework provides a scientific, transparent, flexible, and efficient approach to evaluate chemicals using a risk-based approach. It was created to address a needed transition in risk assessment communication, integrating principles and advances in toxicology and exposure science. The approach can be used and applied for both human health and ecological applications and is effective for screening and prioritization, risk assessment, study design, identification of data gaps and needs, and risk communication and training.

RISK21 is a HESI-managed initiative and was collaboratively developed by international stakeholders from government, academia, industry, and NGOs.
